SO, WHAT MAKES AÇAÍ SO SPECIAL?

Small berry.
Big on the good stuff.

Three reasons to get to know the berry: what’s inside it, what those nutrients do, and why they deserve a place in a varied diet.

ANTIOXIDANTS

Antioxidant
plant power.

Açaí contains anthocyanins and other polyphenols—plant compounds with antioxidant activity. Antioxidants neutralise free radicals: unstable molecules that can damage cells. There’s more to that purple colour than good looks.

DIETARY FIBRE

Fibre for
your digestion.

Açaí pulp naturally contains fibre. Dietary fibre supports digestion and regular bowel movements, and helps prevent constipation. It’s one reason to enjoy a range of fibre-containing plant foods throughout your day.

UNSATURATED FATS

Good fats.
Real purpose.

Açaí naturally contains oleic acid, a monounsaturated fat also found in olive oil. Dietary fat helps your body absorb vitamins A, D and E—so a little fat has an important job to do.

Why your body needs some fat

These are qualities of açaí pulp. Your finished bowl’s nutrition depends on its base, toppings and portion. A little more on the ingredients and research

A LITTLE MORE TO TUCK INTO

Good questions.
Even better
spoonfuls.

What does açaí taste like?

Açaí has a subtle, earthy berry flavour. Banana, mango and other fruit toppings bring sweetness; granola adds crunch. Choose the combination that sounds good to you.

Is it a smoothie or a bowl?

Our açaí bowls have a thick, cold base that you eat with a spoon. Fresh fruit and toppings sit on top, so you get a different combination of flavours and textures in every bite.

What goes into the açaí base?

We use açaí from Brothers of Açaí. A prepared base is different from the whole fruit, and bases and toppings can contain added sugar. Ask us about the ingredients available at the hatch—we’ll help you find a combination you love.
